I don't know very many people who would be bawling their eyes out that they couldn't sit through a caroling event.My second question is, why shouldn't CF people be able to also enjoy they event?Why is the etiquette to relinquish to a couple with children? It's Christmas, not Chuck E Cheese. It's just as much about the two people without kids as it is about families with kids.I'm not CF, but if I were, no I don't think I would give up my spot. Because we need to get over this feeling that we need to always bow down to the parent/child unit. I would feel like a first rate asswipe if a CF couple felt like they needed to skip something they wanted to see just for me and my children. Exactly. I don't remember much about any of these types of events from when I was a kid. My mother dragged me to the Radio City Xmas Spectacular a few times, and various performances of the Nutcracker. I just remember having to sit in one place for a long time. I remember liking the Nutcracker okay but appreciating the ballet far more as I got into my teenage years and beyond, particularly since I was dancing ballet myself at that point. Ah, she also dragged me to an annual xmas carol concert at a local church that I remember to be torture, as it was long and boring.</p> |
