as in the middle of a movie when my teacher started telling my friend of a year or so ago how I should work on the art of photography. She said, "You'll need some of those." This was on the first day of my new year as a teacher. I was teaching in france in the summer. Then I went to paris and I just knew what I was going to focus on, and I took that with me. I was working with one of my new friends, so when he said it, I was like, "Okay, so maybe there's some other stuff in your program?" So, I took some things from my experience there and looked at it in different ways, I don't know, I think it's a bit like what you did with your first teacher. I just kind of realized what I was supposed to be doing, so that's what I had to do for the rest of my life. I'm pretty confident in my artistic abilities even without practice. How did you get into photography? I started out in the music room. I guess, that's how I started out, so I was pretty good at things. How did you get into photography
 ? I was in the early stage of my career. I was in a pretty serious band in the early 1990s where I had the idea of doing a show. It was probably one of my first shows after that.
